The computer software known as the PepSurf server ('the Software') was created and developed in the course of research by Itay Mayrose, Osnat Penn, Elana Erez, Nimrod D. Rubinstein, Tomer Shlomi, Natalia Tarnovitski Freund, Erez M. Bublil, Eytan Ruppin, Roded Sharan, Jonathan M. Gershoni, Eric Martz, and Tal Pupko (the "Researchers") at George S. Wise Faculty of Life Sciences, Tel Aviv University (`TAU`).
TAU and the Researchers permit use of the Software by researchers in academic institutions for non-commercial research purposes, subject to the following terms and conditions:
The Software may be used for non-commercial academic purposes only. Persons interested in obtaining a license to use the Software for any commercial purpose (including academic research that is sponsored by a commercial entity) should send enquiries to the VP Business Development, Ramot at Tel Aviv University Ltd., Tel Aviv 61392, Israel; Tel: +972 3 640 6579.
All right title and interest in and to the Software and any translations, adaptations, alterations, modifications or similar derivative thereof vest exclusively in TAU. In the event that the Software and underlying algorithms are subject to patents and/or patent applications owned by TAU, no right or license is hereby granted to such patents or patent applications, other than the limited permission to use the Software for academic research purposes expressly set forth herein
THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FREEDOM FROM ERROR, ACCURACY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NONINFRINGEMENT. IN NO EVENT SHALL THE RESEARCHERS OR TAU BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES OR OTHER LIABILITY, WHETHER IN AN ACTION OF CONTRACT, TORT OR OTHERWISE, ARISING FROM, OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE SOFTWARE OR THE USE OR OTHER DEALINGS IN THE SOFTWARE.
